TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms 

When you book and receive services from Mountain West Cleaning Company, whether through phone or online booking, you agree to the following Terms of Service, including any required credit/debit card authorizations, and our Privacy Policy. The fees detailed below are mainly intended to compensate cleaners for last-minute cancellations and lockouts.

Required Card on File

All billing is securely managed electronically through our trusted third-party provider, Stripe. You can conveniently pay by credit or debit card. For your security, we do not have access to view any payment method details. Your information is strictly confidential. We will securely store your payment method and automatically charge you after each cleaning session. Receipts will be promptly emailed to your designated email address. It is mandatory for all clients to maintain a valid payment method on file. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of service.

PRICING

For one-time cleans (deep cleans, move in/out services, and standard one-time clean), our pricing depends on a Minimum Quoted Amount plus hourly rates. The Minimum Quoted Amount is determined by your home’s size and condition and is the base cost for the cleaning. This is the minimum charge, even if the cleaning finishes faster than expected. If the cleaning takes longer than estimated, extra charges apply based on these hourly rates:


  • $50/hr for 1 cleaner
  • $75/hr for 2 cleaners
  • $100/hr for 3 cleaners

  •   The timeframe for completing a job is from “clock in” to “clock out.” When our cleaner(s) start at your property, that’s the “clock in” time, and when they finish and pack up to leave, that’s the “clock out” time.

    We decide how many cleaners to send based on what’s needed. Having more cleaners means the job gets done faster. Studies show that adding another cleaner speeds things up by 33%. Unlike some companies that double the price when they add more cleaners, we only increase it by 1.5 times. So, the cost stays pretty much the same whether we send one cleaner or more.

    Cancellation Fee ($50)

    In the event of a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, a $50 cancellation fee may be charged. This fee can be processed via invoice or the card on file. Any deposits or credit card holds will be refunded or released accordingly. The cancellation fee may also apply in other circumstances, as outlined elsewhere in this Terms of Service agreement.

    Lockout Fee ($75)

    If our cleaners arrive at your home but are unable to gain entry, we’ll notify you via text message and/or phone call and wait for up to 30 minutes. If entry is still not possible after this time, a $75 lockout fee will be charged via invoice or the card on file. Additionally, if your cleaning requirements fall outside our defined scope of work as outlined on our Services page (for example, if we encounter an infestation upon arrival), resulting in termination of service, a $75 lockout fee will be charged via invoice or the card on file.

    How to Cancel Your Recurring Service

    To cancel your recurring service, please contact our office at +1-312-508-3472 via call or text, or email us at [email protected] with at least 24 hours notice before your next scheduled appointment to avoid incurring a Cancellation Fee or Lockout Fee. Thank you.

    Recurring Service – Canceling After Your First Appointment

    If you cancel after the first appointment of a recurring service, your total owed for that booking will revert to the full Service Total price, with the Frequency Discount removed. Any price difference will be charged accordingly. This policy is implemented to deter individuals from exploiting our recurring discount and canceling after the first appointment.

    Cleaner Reassignment Policy

    Our Cleaner Reassignment Policy allows us, at our sole discretion, to reassign cleaners to appointments as needed. This may include both recurring service and one-time appointments. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of any changes whenever possible, if deemed necessary.

    Late Payment Fee (5%)

    If we are unable to collect payment for services rendered within 14 days of service, a 5% late payment fee will be added to the balance due on your outstanding invoice. This process will be repeated for each additional 14 days without payment.

    Photos/Videos: 

    In compliance with our payment processor requirements, we routinely capture before/after media of cleaning work to ensure quality. Additionally, we may share these visuals on social media. If you prefer not to have images/videos of your home online, kindly inform us in advance, and we’ll honor your request.

    Complaints: 

    For any service-related concerns, please email [email protected] within 24 hours of service completion to qualify for potential resolution.

    Refund Policy: 

    All sales are considered final. Returns or refunds are not accepted, except as explicitly outlined in our Terms of Service.

    Right to Terminate Service

    Mountain West Cleaning Company reserves the right to terminate service for any client at any time, for any reason. Written notice will be provided via text message and/or email.

    Right to Refuse Service

    Mountain West Cleaning Company reserves the right to deny and/or terminate service due to safety concerns, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, presence of weapons on-premises, severe clutter and disconnected utilities, or anything deemed “unreasonable.” Our cleaners may choose to leave if the home is in an extremely unsanitary condition or if they feel unsafe or threatened. If a cleaning appointment is deemed unreasonable, our cleaners may refuse service on the spot, and a cancellation fee will be charged.

    Cleaning Day Preparation

    Your cleaning price is determined based on the cleaners focusing all their time on cleaning. We ask that you take a few minutes to tidy up, allowing the cleaners easy access to the areas and surfaces to be cleaned, such as floors, countertops, tabletops, etc.

    Pets

    We are happy to work around pets, but we request that indoor activity be limited for cleaning efficiency and safety reasons. If a pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, Mountain West Cleaning Company reserves the right to refuse or terminate the service. If the removal of our cleaning technician is due to pet-related issues (e.g., aggression), our cancellation policy will apply.

    Service Fees

    Please note that our instant prices are based on years of experience, but adjustments may be made based on the actual condition of the house. To avoid surprises upon arrival, we will call you to inform you of any necessary changes. If we are unable to reach you, the crew will have to leave, and a cancellation fee will be charged.

    We reserve the right to reevaluate rates at any time based on the time required to meet your standards. Mountain West Cleaning Company will contact the client to discuss price or service revisions if the cleaning time significantly differs from the original estimate.

    Recurring Service Discount

    To prevent abuse of our recurring service discount, if you skip cleanings, resulting in a lower cleaning frequency than originally agreed upon, your price will be increased to the pricing level for the lower frequency.

    Offers, Promotions, and Referrals

    Mountain West Cleaning Company may provide you with offers, discounts, and other promotions, including referral programs (each referred to as a “Promotion,” collectively as “Promotions”). These Promotions may have expiration dates and are subject to change without prior notice. Payments and rewards received through any Promotion, including those intended for Service Providers, are nontransferable and cannot be combined with other Promotions or redeemed for cash. From time to time, in order to secure jobs for Service Providers using our platform, Celtic Cleaning Company may offer promotions or discounts, and Service Providers may be eligible to receive payment based on the discounted rate.

    Alarms

    Please ensure your home security system is off or provide us with the code and usage instructions. Notify us promptly if the code changes to avoid a lockout charge.

    Use of Homeowner’s Vacuum

    If you prefer to use your vacuum, we won’t be liable for any damage to it. Please ensure it’s in working order before our arrival, as we rely on it for vacuuming.

    Cleaning Supplies

    We provide all necessary equipment and products. If you prefer green cleaning products or want us to use your supplies, please inform us in advance. We aren’t responsible for any damage associated with client-provided cleaning products.

    What We Can’t Clean

    We specialize in cleaning but don’t handle mold removal, hoarding situations, or areas containing certain substances. For a detailed list, please refer to our Services page.

    Unreachable Areas and Heavy Items 

    For safety reasons, we can’t climb higher than a step stool or move objects over 35 pounds. Please relocate heavy items if you want cleaning behind them.

    Breakage/Damage and Loss Policy

    While rare, breakage or damage may occur during cleaning. We exercise care but aren’t liable for damage due to normal wear & tear or improper installation. Please inform us of any fragile items beforehand. Notify us within 24 hours of any breakage or loss, and we’ll attempt replacement, though it’s not guaranteed.

    Cleaners Arrival Window

    We strive to minimize drive time to maintain affordable prices and avoid trip fees. While we aim to accommodate specific time requests, please understand that no times are guaranteed due to factors like traffic, weather, or mechanical issues. Cleaning appointments are typically scheduled between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute early arrival window and up to 60 minutes later. We will notify you if we’re running late.

    Inclement Weather

    We prioritize safety; thus, we may close during severe weather conditions to ensure our cleaners’ safety on the road.

    Non-Solicitation Agreement

    During and for two years after our service term, clients agree not to directly solicit our employees or representatives for employment or engagement. Breach of this agreement incurs a $3,000 USD penalty. We reserve the right to terminate services immediately without refund for such breaches, while retaining other legal remedies.

    Governing Law:

    Any claim relating to the Mountain West Cleaning Company website shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law provisions. We have made every effort to design our website to be useful, informative, helpful, and honest. If you have any suggestions for improvements or changes to make it easier for you to find the information you need, please let us know.

    Mountain West Cleaning Company reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
